ALERT: The House Leadership is expected to send the House healthcare reform bill, "America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009" (H.R. 3962), to the floor for a vote on Saturday, Nov. 7. The bill will significantly affect every PGA Professional, whether they are an employer or employee. The Small Business Coalition, led by the National Federation of Independent Business, has organized a "National Call-In Day" today (Thursday), Friday and Saturday to alert Representatives of the issues in this bill affecting small business. The PGA of America Education Department Announces 2010 Schedule
The PGA's Education Department has announced its Education Program lineup for the winter and early spring of 2010. These programs will cover topics relating to all aspects of teaching, coaching and instruction, golf operations and will be held in several locations and formats, including at the PGA Education Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla., in Orlando in conjunction with the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show and by teleconference. PGA Cup Highlight Show to Re-air on Golf Channel
In case you missed it the first time, the Golf Channel will re-air an hour-long hightlight show featuring the victorious United States PGA Cup Team on Nov. 9 (5:00 a.m. EST) and Nov. 10 (9:00 p.m. EST). The United States Team won a record eight of 10 singles matches and halved another for a 17 ½ to 8 ½ victory over Great Britain & Ireland in the PGA Cup in September.


The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program will be available through PGALinks.com beginning November 16.
